Dynamic Tape Eco - Extra-Strength Biomechanical Tape

Price

₹0.00

Dynamic Tape Eco is a world first — an extra-strength Biomechanical Tape made from recycled plastic bottles using patented technology, delivering the highest resistance of any tape in the Dynamic Tape range through a fundamentally different material engineering approach. While the original Black and Beige Tattoo tapes provide strong resistance and high recoil throughout their full range of motion, the Eco is engineered to a higher elastic modulus — meaning it reaches maximum resistance much sooner in its range, with slightly lower recoil than the original. This specific resistance-recoil profile makes Eco uniquely suited to applications where movement is minimal but firm, high-force resistance is required — primarily ligamentous applications, joint positioning, and stabilising tape applications.

Higher Elastic Modulus — Resistance Sooner in Range

The key clinical difference between Dynamic Tape Eco and the original Black/Beige Tattoo is in the elastic modulus — the rate at which resistance increases with stretch. The original tapes have a lower modulus, providing strong resistance that builds gradually across the full range of motion — ideal for musculotendinous applications where the tape needs to resist and assist over a large excursion. The Eco has a higher modulus: it reaches its maximum resistance very quickly in its range, with only a small amount of stretch needed to generate high resistance forces.

This makes Eco clinically ideal for situations where movement at the taped joint is minimal — such as ligamentous applications (ankle syndesmosis, ACL support taping, finger and thumb ligaments), joint glide taping for accessory movement correction, and positioning tapes that aim to maintain a specific joint position. In these applications, the high early resistance of the Eco provides meaningful support even when joint excursion is small.

The Eco also has slightly less recoil than the original — making it appropriate for stabilising applications that enhance force closure but where strong recoil could risk compromising circulation or neural function.

Clinical Applications — Ligaments, Joint Glides & Positioning

  • Ligamentous Applications — Ankle syndesmosis, lateral ankle ligament (ATFL/CFL), knee collateral ligaments, ACL support, finger and thumb ligaments, wrist ligaments. The high early resistance of Eco provides immediate mechanical support for structures that have limited excursion capacity.
  • Joint Glide Taping — Correcting accessory movement patterns at the glenohumeral, patellofemoral, tibiotalar, and spinal facet joints. The high modulus resistance maintains the corrected joint position without the tape needing to stretch through a long range.
  • Positioning and Stabilising Applications — Maintaining specific joint positions (e.g., shoulder positioning, foot posture correction, cervical positioning) where the tape needs to provide resistance to postural drift without the bungee assist of the original.
  • Combination Taping — Dynamic Tape Eco can be layered with the original Black or Beige Tattoo or with PowerBand to create custom resistance-recoil profiles: Eco provides high early resistance while the original adds higher recoil at end of range, creating a clinically sophisticated combined tape application.

Made from Recycled Plastic Bottles — Sustainable Design

Dynamic Tape Eco is the world's first biomechanical tape made from recycled plastic bottles — approximately 15 recycled bottles per box of six rolls. The material uses patent-pending technology to convert recycled PET plastic into a high-performance tape material that outperforms standard tape in resistance while contributing to ocean plastic reduction and sustainable materials use in healthcare.
